Paving the path to success - crafting a strong IPO communications strategy for an AI service provider in Asia Pacific.
Challenge
Our customer was an AI service provider in the Asia Pacific region. They sought our products for their upcoming IPO preparations. Our primary role was to provide solutions for their IPO communication strategy, encompassing media relations, an investor relations website, and marketing materials for stakeholders. Communication with the public began months before the listing date, as it takes time to develop a consistent and compelling messaging that resonates with their target audience.
Our strategy
- We facilitated media briefing opportunities with key industry reporters to provide them with an accurate understanding of the customer’s business strategies and differences from its peers before filing the IPO documents
- We supported our customer in building its investor relations website and provided content such as executive biographies and company factsheets, along with reviewing boilerplate language. The first-place that prospective investors and reporters visit is the corporate website. Therefore, it is important to have easily accessible information that reflects a positive corporate image and builds credibility in the market
Results
- Following a well-prepared pre-IPO phase, our customer received more sell-side coverage than we initially expected within the first year as a public company
- We helped our customer secure invitations to more than 10 high-quality investor conferences in the year following the IPO
- Institutional holdings increased to 40% within the first year
